Position summary

Weatherford is seeking an HSE Advisor to support the HSE Team in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, systems, and procedures. The role ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards while promoting a proactive safety culture, providing HSE training, leading incident investigations, monitoring performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, and environmental performance company-wide.

Key responsibilities

• Compliance and culture: Ensure compliance with company Security, Compliance, and HSE policies and local and international regulations, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Training: Deliver HSE training and guidance on emergency response, PPE, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Incident investigation: Conduct and support incident investigations, perform root cause and failure analyses, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Performance monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and report on HSE performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
• Management systems: Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems, procedures, and training materials, and conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Collaboration and leadership: Integrate HSE into daily operations with operational teams, communicate clearly across the organization, demonstrate visible safety leadership, and manage assigned HSE budgets responsibly.

Team and stakeholders

You will support the HSE Team and collaborate with operational teams and all levels of the organization, engaging both technical and non-technical audiences and reinforcing safety behaviors across the workforce.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry or regulatory experience.
• Experience conducting HSE audits and inspections.
• Proven track record in implementing and maintaining HSE management systems.

Preferred:

• Externally qualified investigator through formal training (for example FMEAC / TapRooT).
• A professionally recognized HSE certification.
• Externally certified ISO / Lead Auditor qualification.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level management systems and risk management processes.
• Experience interpreting and applying ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or similar standards.
