Position summary

Radius is hiring an Environmental & Sustainability Senior Advisor for its Sustainability & ESG team in Crewe. This newly created role takes ownership of the company's environmental management framework, helps shape its sustainability reporting, and builds expertise across environmental regulation, carbon management and low-carbon mobility, working closely with the Climate Change & Environment Manager.

As sustainability becomes central to the business, this role turns environmental compliance and carbon data into credible reporting and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Run the EMS by supporting and developing the Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001 and leading preparations for the ISO 14001:2026 transition.
• Maintain governance across environmental policies, procedures, and documentation, and manage the Environmental Legal Register across jurisdictions.
• Manage carbon data as a key user of the Watershed carbon accounting platform.
• Support disclosure through mandatory reporting, including CSRD, SECR, and ESOS.
• Track legislation by monitoring emerging environmental, energy, and EV rules across the UK and Europe.
• Drive engagement by building relationships across the business to raise environmental awareness and continuous improvement.

Team and stakeholders

Sits within the Sustainability & ESG team, reporting to and working closely with the Climate Change & Environment Manager, with autonomy and cross-business exposure. Based at the Radius Campus in Crewe.

Requirements

• Around 4 to 5 years' experience in environmental or sustainability-focused roles.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience gathering and analysing environmental or carbon-related data.
• An interest in sustainability reporting and evolving ESG requirements.
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and drive improvement.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI and digital sustainability tools.
