Position summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Remediation Project Manager in Wisconsin to lead delivery for key clients across multiple projects and accounts. This hybrid role has both internal and external-facing responsibilities, and the selected candidate will assist and lead project and program management for the design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water investigative and remediation programs, along with data analysis and report preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Work planning: Oversee the preparation of work plans and organize project studies.
• Delivery: Interface directly with technical project managers and project teams to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Client requirements: Understand and incorporate client requirements, including commercial contract terms, change management processes, and financial performance KPIs.
• Financial management: Use client and AECOM-prescribed tools to track and manage the financial aspects of projects, adjusting project constraints based on financial analysis.
• Delivery assurance: Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget.
• Regulatory knowledge: Apply knowledge of Wisconsin state regulatory requirements and environmental standards (preferred).

Team and stakeholders

The role works with technical project managers and project teams, clients across public and private sectors, and subcontractors, spanning internal and external-facing responsibilities.

Key details

• Work arrangement: Hybrid (office and remote); valid driver's license required, subject to background and motor vehicle records checks. Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
• Compensation: $90,000 to $130,000, based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field, and 4+ years of relevant environmental remediation experience, or demonstrated equivalency.
• US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (no sponsorship available).
• Preferred: 10 years in site investigation and remediation; 5 years of project management delivering environmental projects for public and/or private clients; proficiency in project management and financial tracking tools; professional certification/registration (PE, PG, PMP, CEng); proven success managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and financial KPIs across multi-site or complex programs; superior communication and reporting skills; and experience leading teams, scheduling resources, managing subcontractors, and preparing proposals, cost estimates, and change orders.
