Position summary
JLL's Energy Advisory team is seeking an Energy Advisory Associate to serve in a dynamic, multi-faceted role supporting Project Delivery team activities while playing a key part in project origination and proposal development. The position supports the full project lifecycle with a focus on delivering clean energy and infrastructure solutions, working in close coordination with senior project managers to provide the technical and analytical support behind JLL's real estate and energy solutions for clients.

Key responsibilities
- Project delivery: Support project delivery activities, including internal execution, timeline adherence, and stakeholder coordination in close partnership with senior project managers.
- Financial modelling: Develop pricing tools and pro-forma financial and project-level models to evaluate asset valuations, support feasibility assessments, and inform commercial contracting decisions.
- Deliverables: Produce planning and strategy documents, technical and financial feasibility analyses, PowerPoint presentations, and technical memoranda.
- Client contact: Serve as a client point of contact, present initiatives, and maintain ongoing communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Market analysis: Conduct energy market and real estate industry analysis with JLL research and origination teams to identify opportunities and support business development.
- Proposal support: Support project pricing analysis and commercial/risk reviews for proposals and sales enablement, and carry out research supporting client deliverables.
- Transition and mentorship: Ensure a seamless transition from origination to execution, provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, and contribute thought leadership and new ideas for clients.
Team and stakeholders
You will work within JLL's Energy Advisory team in close coordination with senior project managers, JLL research and origination teams, and clients, while providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Key details
- Compensation: Estimated salary range of $90,000 to $125,000.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5.
- Locations: Chicago, New York City, or Washington DC.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Environmental Studies, Business, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in energy or infrastructure project finance and development, with exposure to both project execution and business development.
- Preferred: experience in consulting or client-facing roles within the energy sector.
- Preferred: understanding of clean energy technologies, including renewable energy, distributed energy resources, EV charging infrastructure, and/or microgrids.
- Preferred: familiarity with commercial real estate energy solutions.
- Preferred: professional certifications such as PMP, CEM, or LEED.
- Preferred: a track record of contributing to successful project deliverables, and the proven ability to manage multiple projects on time and within budget.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing client-facing materials and presenting to stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct market analysis and financial feasibility assessments.
