Position summary
As an EHS Specialist, you will support operational teams in maintaining the highest standards of Environment, Health, and Safety across sites. You will provide expert guidance, promote a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislation and company standards, and contribute to the delivery of Siemens Gamesa's sustainability and renewable energy objectives, with particular focus on environmental, sustainability, and energy management initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Leadership and culture: Provide visible leadership, coaching, and mentoring to operational teams, promoting a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.
- EHS advisory: Act as a trusted EHS advisor, ensuring compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and local legislation.
- HSE plans: Develop, maintain, and monitor site HSE plans, with particular focus on environmental, sustainability, and energy management initiatives.
- KPIs: Track and analyse environmental, sustainability, and energy KPIs, implementing improvement plans where required.
- Problem-solving: Support site teams in resolving HSE challenges and sharing best practices across multiple locations.
- Incident investigation: Lead incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively and on time.
- Engagement: Drive proactive engagement with employees and contractors, partner with site management to implement EHS initiatives, and prepare HSE reports, performance analyses, and contractor evaluations.
- Stakeholder management: Manage stakeholder engagement and support resolution of significant HSE deviations while upholding Zero Tolerance policies.

The role works with operational and site management teams, employees, contractors, and leadership teams across multiple locations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an EHS Advisor, Health & Safety Specialist, or related role.
- Strong knowledge of international and local HSE regulations, compliance requirements, and environmental permitting processes.
- Experience within renewable energy, construction, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and communicate within multicultural, cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience monitoring KPIs and delivering continuous improvement.
- Confidence in stakeholder management and presenting HSE information; full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
