Position summary
The EHS Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of a consistent health, safety, and environmental management program and total plant security, to meet the HSE and Security objectives agreed across PepsiCo and all legal requirements. The first priorities are to promote safety and environmental awareness, manage the control and minimisation of hazards across the plant, and continuously update and ensure adherence to a fully detailed HSE and Security policy.

By setting strategy, ensuring ISO and legal compliance, and building a strong safety and environmental culture, you protect people and the environment while supporting efficient plant operations.
Key responsibilities
- Policy and compliance: Develop and implement the plant's HSE and security policies, advise local management, ensure all legal requirements are met, and ensure full compliance with legal, corporate, and ISO standards (ISO 14001 / ISO 50001 / GEHSMS).
- Strategy and culture: Lead and continuously improve the plant's HSE&S strategy and culture, and act as the key HSE&S advisor and main contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Team leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the local HSE team and Safety Action Teams.
- Risk and improvement: Drive risk assessments, audits, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement initiatives, and lead safety reviews, trainings, awareness programs, and incident prevention.
- Planning and budget: Own the HSE&S annual plan, budget, investments, and related reporting.
- Project support and collaboration: Support plant projects with HSE expertise and collaborate with authorities, external partners, and the wider regional HSE organization.
Team and stakeholders
You will lead the local HSE team and Safety Action Teams, advise the local management team, and maintain contacts with the wider HSE organisation (WEOU) and external parties such as governmental authorities and external training companies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of industrial operations and HSE experience.
- Prevention Advisor Level 1 certification required (Milieucoördinator A a plus).
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- A Lean mindset with a passion for safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- A proactive, hands-on, flexible team player.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French an advantage.
