Position summary

The Coca-Cola Company is seeking a Director, Sustainability Tech Lead to serve as a strategic bridge between its sustainability, business, and technology teams, translating environmental and social goals into scalable, data-driven technology capabilities. The role defines the enterprise sustainability technology roadmap, governs architecture and data standards, and ensures systems are compliant with the company's Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem and evolving regulatory and reporting requirements. It holds end-to-end architectural responsibility for systems within the sustainability technology stack.

Key responsibilities

• Business architecture: Work with stakeholders to understand business strategy and define business architecture, including capability maps, value streams, and roadmaps.
• Technical product management: Act as Technical Product Manager, leading the team that develops and implements the vision and strategy for enterprise sustainability technology solutions (for example SAP SFM and Enablon) across the Microsoft enterprise platform.
• Capabilities and integration: Define strategic sustainability capabilities, technical architectures, and data integration patterns to support automated carbon accounting, ESG reporting, and supply chain transparency.
• Architectural guidance: Provide architectural guidance to the IT client engagement lead for sustainability teams.
• Proofs of concept: Propose, develop, and execute proofs of concept for new technologies that could deliver differentiating capabilities.
• Technology evaluation: Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technology concepts, vendors, and products, and manage vendor relationships.
• Vendor and compliance reviews: Lead vendor assessments, security reviews, and compliance audits, ensuring products and services integrate within the broader ecosystem.
• Pilots and feasibility: Define objectives, coordinate with vendors, and lead proofs of concept and test-and-learn pilots to accelerate learning and confirm feasibility.
• Solution design: Understand business needs, define solutions, and produce design artifacts with required functions, interfaces, and detailed technical architecture across system, sub-system, and component designs.
• Proposals and estimates: Develop solution alternatives, schedule and cost estimates, proposals, and statements of work for approval.
• Leadership presentations: Create and deliver presentations to senior leadership in support of technology strategy, investments, and initiatives.
• Process modeling: Lead and facilitate business process modeling sessions to develop, assess, streamline, redesign, and optimize processes and workflows.

Team and stakeholders

You will report to the Senior Director, Tech & Innovation Technology, and work closely with the company's QSE and ESG teams, other technical architects, the IT client engagement lead for sustainability, project teams, senior leadership, and external technology vendors.

Key details

• Compensation: Base pay range of $171,000 to $198,000 in the United States, which may vary by geography and experience.
• Incentives: Annual incentive reference value of 30 percent, plus a long-term incentive reference value of 0 to 20 percent.
• Travel: 0 to 25 per cent.
• Relocation: Not provided.
• Work authorization: No visa sponsorship offered; applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure cloud services, Data Lake, Fabric or full-stack application development, and product operating model delivery.
• IT architecture experience, including architectural oversight or managing DevOps models.
• Ability to develop, test, and deploy application functionality to project specifications and development standards.
• Experience working on sustainability platforms such as SAP SFM, Enablon, or similar (preferred).
• Business understanding of sustainability and experience with QSE and ESG platforms (for example SAP SFM, Enablon).
• Experience with Enablon, enterprise sustainability, or related carbon management solutions.
• Experience setting architectural direction with a track record of delivering strategic solutions.
• Ability to translate business and user requirements into scalable technical solutions that enhance differentiation, improve quality, and drive delivery.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, including building partnerships and leading highly productive teams.
