Position summary
CDP is hiring a Data Quality Specialist in London, within its Data Governance and Quality team. The role supports the development and implementation of data quality processes and reporting, promoting good data practices and helping teams improve the quality of CDP's environmental disclosure data.

CDP runs the world's only independent environmental disclosure system, and financial institutions with over a quarter of the world's institutional assets use its data. Ensuring that data is accurate, fit for purpose and trusted is essential to CDP's products and mission, and this role helps embed quality and governance across it.
Key responsibilities
- Measure data quality by supporting methodologies and best practices across CDP.
- Build cleansing solutions to address data quality issues.
- Operationalise dashboards in Power BI to monitor data improvement.
- Define metrics and reporting with colleagues to resolve data quality issues.
- Maintain quality reports to support improvements in specific data domains.
- Promote data-first culture for quality and governance across CDP.
Team and stakeholders
Sits within the Data Governance and Quality team, working with internal CDP Data Owners, Stewards, Custodians and Users, and external Disclosers, Requesters and Data Users.
Key details
- Permanent, London-based, with around two days per week in the office and flexible working.
- Salary £32,157 to £40,197 plus 30 days' holiday, non-contributory pension, EAP and life assurance.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in data science or data analytics, ideally focused on data quality improvement.
- High coding capabilities in SQL.
- Ability to present technical content to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of applying data quality approaches to resolve issues.
- Exposure to Power BI or similar tools to communicate findings.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with strong English skills and a proactive, team-player approach.
Preferred
- A second language.
- Experience working within global organisations.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience working with agile project or product management.
