Job Description

Position summary

Asmodee, a global leader in tabletop games, is seeking a Compliance, Environmental & Reporting Lead to own a wide-reaching environmental reporting and compliance remit for Asmodee UK. The role coordinates data collection and submission for regulatory and obligatory reporting and provides advisory support to the business on legislation changes affecting environmental, compliance, and sustainability needs.

Why this role matters

Asmodee operates across creative studios and distribution businesses worldwide with a catalogue of hundreds of games, creating significant packaging, waste, and environmental reporting obligations. This role keeps Asmodee UK compliant with environmental legislation, ensures accurate and timely statutory submissions, and prepares the business for emerging regulation.

Key responsibilities

  • Own statutory reporting by collecting data and filing submissions for Asmodee UK’s obligations related to packaging, waste, and environmental declarations, accountable for timely and accurate reporting.
  • Lead environmental reporting including ESOS and SECR, collating data from internal and external sources for submission to relevant agencies and stakeholders.
  • Manage waste reporting across EPR, Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT), and WEEE, collecting product data via physical inspection or data sheets and collating purchase and sales data for accurate submission.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation and EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, archiving evidence and independently validating suppliers’ eco-friendly credentials to support the EU Green Claims Directive and Directive 2024/825.
  • Monitor legislation by tracking emerging environmental legislation, briefing management and leadership on financial and operational impacts, and leading change management for business readiness.
  • Engage suppliers by partnering with Procurement and Publishing to gather technical material specifications (e.g. FSC status, plastic composition) across thousands of SKUs and obtaining packaging details ahead of goods receipt.
  • Ensure audit readiness by conducting internal audits of waste streams and packaging data for “audit-proof” submissions.
  • Interface with customers by acting as the main point of contact for packaging data requests and supporting sales teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement by regularly reviewing processes and data collection methodologies.

Team and stakeholders

The role works across cross-functional teams, partnering with Procurement, Publishing, and Sales internally, and engaging suppliers, partners, customers, and regulatory agencies externally.

Key details

This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Bordon, UK. Benefits include 24 days’ holiday rising with service (plus bank holidays), a birthday/wellbeing day, private medical insurance, and staff discount on products.
