The Analyst will work closely with senior team members and cross-functional internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outputs. The Analyst is a key support role within the II & NCS team, primarily responsible for executing structured, process-driven tasks across carbon project development. This includes managing geospatial and quantitative data, supporting documentation, assisting with verification and due diligence processes and supporting credit sales. The position emphasizes internal collaboration and technical rigor.

This position reports to the Managing Director of II & NCS. The candidate selected for this position will be expected to work cross-functionally to realize opportunities that rely on a range of skills housed in various fields and internal groups.

  • Maintain organized geospatial data systems and file structures for project work.
  • Develop maps, figures, and geospatial outputs for project documentation (GHG Plans, PDDs, listing forms).
  • Populate quantitative and standardized sections of project documentation and ensure consistency across materials.
  • Prepare materials for validation and verification processes, including data rooms and issue tracking logs.
  • Support compilation of harvest records and development of field verification materials (e.g., tree lists).
  • Review forestry documents (management plans, deeds, BMPs, easements) and summarize key insights.
  • Provide carbon-focused data and documentation support to acquisitions and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and data accuracy.
  • Apply analytical tools (Excel, GIS, Python/R exposure) to improve workflows and data quality.
  • Liaise with Manulife’s operations and investment management teams, including foresters, Resource Support, Planning & Analysis, Acquisitions & Dispositions, and Client Account Management.
  • Support carbon credit sales and marketing efforts with data and document support for the carbon sales lead.
  • Contribute to policy and strategy development related to forest carbon and nature-based solutions. Conduct research on emerging forest carbon opportunities and share technical insights with internal teams and peer groups.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support successful project and strategy execution.

Requirement Qualifications
