Position summary


As the Business Development Analyst in Tesla's Megapack sales team, you will be the go-to expert for understanding energy markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, turning data into clear insights. Focusing on Megapack, Tesla's utility-scale battery energy storage system, you will drive strategy across EMEA by forecasting markets, analyzing competitors, uncovering new opportunities, and staying ahead of industry trends.

This role sharpens Tesla's Megapack strategy across a fast-moving EMEA energy landscape. By forecasting markets, analyzing competitors, and researching new markets and business models, you help the sales team prioritize the best opportunities to deploy battery storage that supports renewable energy on the grid.


Key responsibilities


  • Insights: Track energy industry trends and build dashboards to share key insights with the team.
  • Forecasting: Create market forecasts to help sales prioritize the best opportunities across EMEA.
  • Competitive analysis: Partner with Global Business Development on competitive analysis and new market entry strategies, and monitor competitor and project data.
  • Market research: Research new markets, applications, and business models, and research wholesale markets and regulations.
  • Product alignment: Work with Product to ensure Tesla's offerings fit each market's needs.


Team and stakeholders


You will work within the Megapack sales team and partner with Global Business Development and Product teams across EMEA.


Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience in European electricity or energy markets.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel and data visualization tools (for example Power BI or Tableau).
  • Proven ability to own projects end-to-end: collect data, analyze findings, and deliver recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Experience with energy storage modeling and/or AI/LLM tools a plus.
