Position summary
The Assistant Manager, EHS Planning supports the development, maintenance, and standardization of corporate EHS programs, systems, and performance reporting processes. The role supports ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, KPI tracking and timely reporting, GHG and ESG data tracking, analysis, and reporting, EHS policy and program updates, and system oversight. Working with EHS Operations, site leadership, and cross-functional teams, you will drive compliance, consistency, data accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement across all locations.

Key responsibilities
- Incident reporting: Monitor daily injury and incident reporting and ensure timely, accurate submission to internal systems.
- KPI tracking: Track, analyze, and report EHS performance indicators (LTIR, LTFR, TRIR, DART) for internal and external reporting.
- GHG/ESG data: Track, analyze, and maintain GHG and ESG data, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Policies and training: Review and maintain EHS policies and procedures, develop and deliver training, and monitor completion and effectiveness.
- Analysis and improvement: Analyze performance data and trends to identify improvements, develop action plans, and support standardization across locations.
- Systems and oversight: Maintain the FLEX EHS management software and safety monitoring systems (Samsara, Alert meter), monitor extreme weather and issue safety communications, conduct inspections of fire systems, first aid, AEDs, and evacuation routes, and travel to sites for audits and support.
Team and stakeholders
You will work with EHS Operations, site leadership, cross-functional teams, and EHS employees (whom you coach and train), and support management with analytical reports.
Key details
- Compensation: $95,000 to $105,000 yearly (subject to a compensation study upon selection).
- Work environment: Located in the Irvine, CA office; typical office environment.
- Budgets: Track department budgets, process invoices, and submit payment requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 6 to 9 years of direct experience (the posting states Finance/Accounting, which appears inconsistent with the EHS scope, worth confirming) and 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements and ability to interpret compliance documentation.
- Ability to develop reports and presentations, document policies and procedures, and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
