Position summary

CDP, the global non-profit that runs the world's independent environmental disclosure system, is hiring an Analyst, Standards & Frameworks on a one-year fixed-term contract in its London office. Sitting within the Strategic Evolution team, the role brings technical, scientific, and analytical rigour to aligning CDP's disclosure framework with prioritised sustainability standards and frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Own standards mapping processes by managing team outputs such as mapping exercises against prioritised sustainability standards and frameworks.
• Develop the disclosure framework by translating priority metrics from standards into CDP's corporate question bank, reporting guidance, and scoring methodologies.
• Analyse and research by interpreting response data, conducting desk-based research, and drafting and proofreading technical documents.
• Provide subject-matter expertise by contributing to funded projects, publications, consultations, and internal presentations and webinars.
• Engage standard-setters by supporting engagement on question bank changes related to standards and frameworks alignment.
• Build content in CDP's systems by authoring, editing, and testing questions and guidance in the online disclosure platform.

Team and stakeholders

The role sits in the Strategic Evolution team within Disclosure Content, working with CDP's Policy, Thought Leadership, Data, and Customer Success teams internally, and with standards and frameworks setters, disclosing organisations, NGO partners, and data users externally.

Key details

• One-year fixed-term contract based at CDP's London office.
• Advertised externally as Analyst, Standards & Frameworks; internally titled Senior Technical Officer, Standards & Frameworks, Strategic Evolution.
• Requires two days per week in the London office and living within commutable distance.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship is available.
• Salary of £32,157 to £40,197, with 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, non-contributory pension, life assurance, and an Employee Assistance Programme.

Requirements

• A relevant academic qualification.
• Professional experience in a role related to environmental reporting standards and frameworks.
• Technical expertise in corporate environmental disclosure and key concepts of sustainability standards and frameworks.
• A demonstrable understanding of the global sustainability policy agenda.
• Ability to design, implement, and refine operational processes to drive efficiency.
• A high standard of written English and the ability to present complex information simply.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
• Strong time management and the ability to work accurately under pressure across diverse teams.
