Event Details

The Australian Clean Energy Summit 2026 is Australia’s flagship clean energy event, taking place on 28 to 29 July 2026 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Presented by the Clean Energy Council, the summit brings together more than 1,500 industry professionals for two days of discussion, strategy, and sector-wide engagement on the country’s energy transition. The event is held at ICC Sydney and is positioned as a platform for decision-makers shaping Australia’s energy future.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary purpose of the summit is to bring together leaders from across Australia’s clean energy sector to address the issues shaping the next phase of the energy transition. The programme is focused on current developments rather than future speculation, with attention on what is happening now and what needs to change across policy, investment, infrastructure, and community outcomes.

Key Activities

The summit features 27 sessions and 160 speakers, including ministers, government decision-makers, CEOs, investors, technical specialists, and community advocates. The agenda includes keynotes, expert panels, and high-level conversations on issues such as the coal exit, investment barriers, decarbonisation, economic growth, and community benefit. It also includes major networking events such as the Women in Renewables Lunch, the Gala Dinner and Clean Energy Council Awards, and Networking Drinks.

Significance

The event is significant because it brings together policy, finance, industry, and technical stakeholders in one setting at a time when Australia’s energy system is undergoing major structural change. Its emphasis on practical transition issues, leadership insight, and cross-sector dialogue makes it especially relevant for organisations involved in clean energy deployment, regulation, investment, and system planning.

Expected Outcomes

Attendees can expect a deeper understanding of the policy, investment, and operational issues defining Australia’s energy future, along with stronger connections across the clean energy ecosystem. The event is designed to support informed discussion, strategic networking, and greater alignment among the stakeholders driving Australia’s transition.
