Event Details

The 7th European E-Fuels Conference 2026 is a two-day senior-level industry forum taking place on 18 to 19 November 2026 in Berlin, Germany. Organised by Active Communications International (ACI), the event brings together e-fuel producers, airlines, shipping companies, automotive stakeholders, renewable power and hydrogen companies, fuel suppliers, oil and energy companies, technology providers, ports, regulators, consultants, traders, and investors. The previous edition attracted 140+ senior executives, and the 2026 programme is focused on moving European e-fuels projects from ambition toward bankable, buildable commercial deployment.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary purpose of the conference is to examine what is required to unlock investment and move synthetic fuel projects from concept to commercial reality. The programme focuses on demand credibility, regulation, production economics, offtake structures, infrastructure readiness, investor confidence, and risk allocation, while helping market participants assess where near-term opportunities are emerging across aviation, maritime, and road transport.

Key Activities

The conference features senior-level presentations, panel discussions, market-focused sessions, and networking across the e-fuels value chain. Core topics include the implementation of RED III, development of RFNBO markets, production pathways, cost reduction, financing models, long-term contracting, infrastructure and logistics, and comparisons between e-fuels, biofuels, and other low-carbon fuel options. The programme also examines how clearer regulation and stronger offtake structures can support final investment decisions.

Significance

The event is significant because the European e-fuels market is entering a more execution-focused phase, with attention shifting from project announcements toward financing, offtake, infrastructure, and final investment decisions. The conference brings together producers and buyers with policy, finance, technology, certification, and infrastructure stakeholders, creating a focused setting for addressing the commercial conditions needed to scale synthetic fuels.

Expected Outcomes

Participants can expect a clearer understanding of e-fuel market development, regulatory requirements, project economics, financing conditions, and demand across transport sectors. The event is intended to support stronger commercial partnerships, better-informed investment decisions, improved alignment between developers and buyers, and practical progress toward bankable e-fuels projects in Europe.
