New Private Markets Investor Summit: North America 2025: Scheduled for 4–5 November 2025 at Convene 360 Madison Avenue, New York, this is the 3rd edition of the region’s leading conference on thematic investing in private markets. Organized by PEI Group, the summit—formerly the Impact and Transition Investor Summit—reflects the evolving complexity and opportunity within thematic investments. It will convene more than 350 participants, including 100+ limited partners and 120+ speakers, to explore strategies shaping the next generation of private markets.

Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of the summit is to help investors future-proof their portfolios by engaging with the most pressing themes of a changing world. Objectives include exploring opportunities in energy resilience, reshoring, supply chain transformation, AI, circular economy, and climate adaptation. It also aims to address challenges of liquidity, policy uncertainty, and technology disruption while providing a platform for LPs and GPs to align on long-term priorities.

Key Activities

The two-day agenda combines keynote addresses, interactive panels, peer-to-peer workshops, and case studies. Themes include U.S. energy transformation and grid modernization, AI safeguards and ethical infrastructure, climate adaptation as an investment strategy, labour and workforce development in the AI era, affordable housing and healthcare investing, and secondaries/liquidity solutions. Dedicated networking sessions and invite-only roundtables ensure meaningful connections between institutional investors and fund managers.

Significance

The summit is significant because thematic investing is increasingly central to how private markets address climate, technological, and social disruptions. By convening influential asset owners such as major pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and endowments, the event highlights how capital can be steered toward resilient, future-focused strategies. It positions North America as a leader in deploying capital for energy security, climate resilience, and sustainable growth.

Expected Outcomes

Participants can expect to leave with deeper insights into how to integrate themes like AI, circular economy, and climate adaptation into investment strategies. Outcomes include strengthened relationships with global investors, exposure to innovative debt and equity structures, and practical tools for navigating liquidity constraints and policy shifts. The summit is expected to spark new partnerships, capital allocations, and frameworks that align private market strategies with long-term sustainability and growth goals.
