Carbon Capture Europe Summit 2027 is a two-day CCUS industry event taking place on 13 to 14 April 2027 at the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The summit is built around the theme “From Europe to the World: Building the First Global CCUS Industry” and will bring together 1,000+ attendees, 120+ executive speakers, and 85+ sponsors and partners. Participants include industrial emitters, storage operators, EPC contractors, financiers, technology providers, policymakers, and government representatives working across the carbon capture, transport, utilisation, and storage value chain.
The primary purpose of the summit is to move European CCUS from policy ambition toward large-scale commercial execution. The event focuses on securing storage offtake agreements, improving investability, shaping CO₂ transport and storage frameworks, and building the infrastructure needed to connect industrial emitters with storage capacity. It also aims to strengthen international partnerships that can extend emerging European CCUS models to industrial markets in Asia, the Middle East, and North America.
The programme includes strategic keynotes, executive panels, technical and commercial discussions, networking, one-to-one meetings, and a dedicated exhibition. Agenda themes include Europe’s CO₂ storage obligations, cross-border transport, shipping and pipeline infrastructure, storage market development, project bankability, industrial capture, and scalable business models. The summit also includes a dedicated Carbon Removal Forum on 14 April, bringing together policymakers, CDR developers, corporate buyers, investors, transport operators, and storage providers around scalable carbon removal markets.
The summit is significant because Europe is moving into a more commercial phase of CCUS development, with operating projects, storage obligations, emerging transport infrastructure, and stronger carbon pricing signals beginning to shape investment decisions. By bringing together emitters, infrastructure developers, storage operators, investors, and policymakers, the event provides a focused platform for addressing the contractual, regulatory, and financial conditions required to move CCUS toward an interconnected and scalable industry.
Attendees can expect stronger connections across the European and international CCUS ecosystem, better understanding of emerging transport and storage markets, and more direct opportunities to develop projects, partnerships, and investment strategies. The event is intended to help participants progress commercial agreements, assess infrastructure pathways, strengthen project bankability, and identify opportunities created by Europe’s evolving carbon management market.
