EQS Group, a Munich-based provider of compliance, investor relations, and ESG software, has announced the acquisition of Daato Technologies, a Berlin-based sustainability software provider. This move strengthens EQS Group’s offerings, providing companies with comprehensive tools to navigate ESG reporting and regulatory requirements.
Founded in 2021 by Thilo Hitz and Satya Kamal Raparthi, Daato specializes in helping businesses, from SMEs to large enterprises, manage sustainability compliance and ESG obligations. Its integration into EQS Group enhances the latter’s ability to offer an all-in-one platform for tackling complex ESG regulations.
“Bringing Daato into the EQS Group allows us to bolster our ESG management capabilities at a time when transparency and accountability, particularly on sustainability issues, are crucial for businesses,” said Achim Weick, founder and CEO of EQS Group.
EQS Group’s solutions now extend to navigating regulations such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the EU Taxonomy, and laws like the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) and the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). These tools aim to streamline compliance processes, reducing operational burdens and costs for companies.
Satya Kamal Raparthi, CEO of Daato, highlighted the strategic benefits of the partnership: “We are thrilled to join forces with EQS Group. All compliance processes on one platform is a massive value add for the customers, significantly reducing operational burdens and costs.”
As companies face increasing demands for transparency and accountability in sustainability, EQS Group’s expanded offerings position it to address these challenges effectively. By automating and simplifying ESG compliance, the combined expertise of EQS Group and Daato aims to help organizations meet evolving regulatory expectations while fostering trust with stakeholders.
